Christmas Boxes (2024)
Not everyone is looking forward to Christmas.
This year we are partnering with Life Community to build 500 boxes for the young people and their families over the Christmas period. Life Community have fed a total of 262,500 individuals since 2013 through their Christmas Boxes.
What can you to help us?
Donate $20.00 to feed a family over Christmas
Life Community will more than double your donation to an approximate value of $75.00
Our schools teams over the year will pack 500 boxes on the 29th November 2024
We will then distribute Christmas Boxes to families in need
Our Goal
1000 Generations aim to raise $10,000 AUD to enable us to build 500 Christmas Boxes in 2024.
The “Why” behind the “What”
Right now, Aussie families are facing some really big challenges, and many find themselves struggling to make ends meet. For some, this will mean Christmas won't be a time to celebrate.
In 2023, we saw the need to respond to this need in our community, so “Unity Baskets” were born from this. The response from initiative was overwhelming, with an outpouring of support from the community. Thanks to this collective effort, the original goal of 250 hampers was doubled, resulting in the creation of 500 hampers. This was something we wanted to continue with in 2024, with the partnership of Life Community who have the same heart and have responded to this need for years.
This Christmas, give the gift of hope. With just a $20 donation, you have an opportunity to help those who need it most. With Christmas Box, 100% of donations goes to not only feeding a family but will also provide much-needed hope. Only together, can we bring hope to those in need all across Australia. We can't do it alone.
Unity Baskets (2023)
In 2023, as the rising cost of living continued to impact communities across the nation, the Unity Baskets movement set an ambitious goal: to build 250 hampers filled with essential items to support households during the Christmas season.
Recognising the increasing need for assistance, the movement aimed to provide relief to students and their families by delivering these food hampers. This effort sought to embody the true spirit of Christmas—compassion, generosity, and unwavering support for those in need.
The response to this initiative was overwhelming, with an outpouring of support from the community. Thanks to this collective effort, the original goal of 250 hampers was doubled, resulting in the creation of 500 hampers.
These hampers not only provided much-needed relief during the holiday season but also served as a powerful reminder of the strength and solidarity within the community when people come together to support one another.
“I was apart of the Shine Program if you remember. Today I received one of your hampers that was given out to kids in need. I just wanted to say thank you guys a lot. It’ll really help my family. You are all awesome and everything you do inspires me everyday to become a better person. Thank you all. ”
